- Total Arrests: Over 11,900 cases of arrests have been recorded in the West Bank, including Jerusalem.
Arrests Among Specific Groups

Women:
- Over 435 women have been arrested since October 7, 2024.
- This figure includes women arrested in 1948-occupied territories, women from Gaza arrested in the West Bank, and does not account for dozens of women detained from Gaza itself.

Children:
- At least 790 children have been arrested in the West Bank.

Journalists:
- 136 journalists have been arrested or detained since the start of the war.
- Currently, 58 journalists remain in custody, including 5 women journalists and 32 journalists from Gaza whose identities have been confirmed.
Administrative Detention Orders
- Over 10,000 orders for administrative detention have been issued since the start of the war, including new and renewed orders. These orders include cases involving children and women.
Violations During Arrest Campaigns
Arrest campaigns have been accompanied by escalating violations and crimes, including:
- Severe beatings and assaults on detainees.
- Threats against detainees and their families.
- Widespread destruction of homes and confiscation of vehicles, money, and gold.
- Extensive infrastructure damage, especially in Tulkarm, Jenin, and their refugee camps.
- Demolition of homes belonging to detainees’ families.
- Holding family members as hostages and using detainees as human shields.
These campaigns also include individuals arrested from their homes, military checkpoints, those forced to surrender under pressure, and those held as hostages.
Field Executions
- Field executions have been carried out, including of family members of detainees.
Arrests by Region
- The highest number of arrests has been recorded in Jerusalem and Hebron.
Deaths in Custody
- At least 47 detainees have been declared deceased in Israeli custody since October 7, 2024, including 29 detainees from Gaza.
- Dozens of detainees from Gaza have died in prisons or military camps under undisclosed circumstances.
- An additional dozens have been executed in field operations.
- 45 bodies of detainees declared deceased since the war began are still being withheld, among a total of 56 withheld bodies whose identities have been announced.
Detainees from Gaza
- Estimates suggest thousands of arrests from Gaza, with over 4,500 detainees acknowledged by Israeli authorities.
- Hundreds of workers from Gaza were arrested in the West Bank, as well as Gaza residents seeking medical treatment there.
Total Prisoner Numbers as of December 2024
- Over 10,300 prisoners and detainees are currently held in Israeli prisons.
- Administrative detainees: 3,428, including 100 children and 27 women.
- "Unlawful Combatants" from Gaza: 1,772 detainees, as officially recognized by Israeli prison authorities (excluding those held in military camps).
- Women prisoners: 88 identified women prisoners, including 4 from Gaza held at Damon Prison.
- Children: At least 280 children remain detained.
Comparison to Pre-October 7 Numbers
- Before October 7, the total number of prisoners was 5,250, including 40 women, 170 children, and approximately 1,320 administrative detainees.
