Prisoner Ahmad Dheeb Abd al-Rahman Dahidi

The prisoner was born on October 15, 1982, in the town of Arraba, near Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank. He attended the town’s schools and obtained his high school diploma, then enrolled at An-Najah University to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
He was pursued by Israeli occupation forces for two consecutive years and survived several assassination attempts, which often ended with him sustaining injuries.
On June 15, 2003, he was arrested after being besieged in a house in the town. He was accused of affiliation and membership in the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, and participating in operations that led to the killing of Israeli soldiers.
He was sentenced to two life terms and has served 21 years so far. He remains imprisoned in Ramon Prison. His brothers were summoned and arrested multiple times, and his brother Saleh was killed as a martyr (shahid) in a jihadist operation in 2008.
During his imprisonment, he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in History from Al-Aqsa University. Dahidi is considered one of the Islamic Jihad Movement’s leaders within the national prisoner movement and currently serves as the emir (leader) of Ramon Prison.
