Update on the number of Palestinian detainees in January 2025

*This data does not include all of the detainees from Gaza because occupation authorities refuse to provide information about them*

■ Total number of prisoners at the start of January 2025: More than 10,400 people.

■ Female prisoners: 87 women, including four identified female prisoners from Gaza. *Data on women until Jan. 9, 2025.

■ Children: At least 320

■ Administrative detainees (held without trial or charge): 3,376 people including 95 children and 22 women.

■ Palestinians held by the occupation under the ‘illegal combatants’ law: 1,886 people (all from the Gaza Strip)
